This short film is an exploration of rhythm in a boxing gym. Taking you on a comedic narrative workout, it showcases the symbiotic relationship between boxing, movement and music by using real boxers as performers, enhancing their fight footwork with choreographed hip hop and punching the actual beat-sounds of the sport into the score.

Standing eight count: also known as a protection count, is a boxing judgment call made by a referee during a bout. When invoked, the referee stops the action and counts to eight. During that time the referee will determine if the boxer can continue.
